Chestermere City Council is starting to look at setting budgets for 2019-2022.
These budget decisions will impact your taxes – so we want your feedback!
You’re invited to pull up a seat to the table and let us know how you would divvy up the budget using our interactive budget simulator. It’s not pie in the sky - we will use all the feedback to help identify priorities for the next four years.
After the consultation period ends on September 17, results will be compiled and posted to the City’s website. They will also be provided to Council and Administration for review. To learn more and follow the budget process, visit www.chestermere.ca/budget.
We've included charts, links and background information to help you throughout the consultation. This survey will use an average property value of $500,000 but you can also enter your own property assessment value. Your property assessment value can be found on the Assessment Notice that was mailed to you or you can do a property search (which allows you to view basic assessment information relating to any residential property).
Please note that ranges below allow you to adjust existing budgets +/- 5%. This range allows the City to consider your priorities while maintaining legislated compliance, future planning, acceptable levels of service and City safety.
Use the interactive tool below to tell us how you would adjust the budget!
*Please note: This chart shows only funding from municipal property taxes. Departments may also receive revenue from other sources such as grants or fees. Rounding differences in the range of +/- $1 might be present in your consultation.
